Receive Results

Participating providers collect a small blood sample and ship it directly to the BDC Autoantibody Laboratory. Testing is performed using a highly sensitive electrochemiluminescence (ECL) assay to detect type 1 diabetes autoantibodies (GAD, IA-2, insulin, ZnT8), and the tissue transglutaminase autoantibody (TG) — a marker of celiac disease. Results are returned within 1–2 weeks to the requesting provider.
*  Funding support available now through 12/31/26. Practices are responsible for supplies, sample collection and shipping.
 Getting Started is Easy
1. Fill out this form to initiate enrollment in this program.
2. A STOP T1D team member will reach out to schedule a call.
